An antique Russian landscape oil on canvas painting attributed to Vitold Byalynitsky Birulya, 1916. The work, titled Early Spring, depicts a sunny day, a river and melting snow in the forest. Illegible signature lower left. Framed. Vitold Kaetanovich Byalynitsky Birulya, 1872 to 1957, is a Russian, Soviet and Belarusian landscape painter, People's Artist of the BSSR and the RSFSR, and a full member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Member of the Society of Traveling Art Exhibitions, the Union of Russian Artists. The artworks of the artist are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, and in the House Museum of the artist in his hometown of Mogilev.
