Attributed to Jean Dufy, French, 1888 to 1964, oil painting on canvas, Reflections on the Seine in Paris, depicting a Parisienne river cityscape. Signed lower right. Framed. Completed with an invoice of the Hilde Gerts Gallery, dated August 1989. Jean Dufy is known for Painting city scenes and musicians, porcelain decoration, theatre sets. Jean Dufy was a French painter of Parisian society, country scenes, circuses, horse races, theatrical productions, and orchestras. His work was exhibited in museums and galleries throughout his career. He was Raoul Dufys brother. He became acquainted with artists Andre Derain, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso and the poet Guillaume Apollinaire. In 1914, Dufys watercolours were exhibited at the Galerie Berthe Weill. European School of Paris Fine Art, Floral Still Oil Paintings, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
