Oil on board painting. Dutch, Laren school, mid to late 19th-century. The artwork depicts a young woman in a flower garden. Impressionist pictorial manner. Unsigned. Black frame, inscription in Dutch and Kunsthandel L. Schulman stamp on the backside. Laren or Larense school was an art colony located in the village of Laren near Hilversum. Artists associated with this movement are Jozef Israels, Albert Neuhuys, Anton Mauve, Max Liebermann. Lion Schulman, 1851 to 1943, was one of the artists of the Laren School and also an art trader. Collectible Modernist Fine Art.
