A Spanish mid century signed in pencil screenprint by Robert Munford. The artwork depicts a childrens playground with a slide where a yellow bird looks at horsemen fighting with spears. Signed in pencil lower right. A. P. letters lower left. Robert Watson Munford, 1925 to 1991, was an American artist, educator, and founding member of the artist group Grupo Ibiza 59 in Spain. His artwork is in the permanent collections of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Stadtische Galerie Wolfsburg in Germany. He was a pop art pioneer.
