An antique Indo Persian Kalamkari cotton textile wall hanging. The textile is adorned with a symmetrical hand painted paisley and peacock patterns on the white ground. The ware is decorated with fringes to the edges. Marked with a stamp, on the backside. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. Kalamkari or chitsazi is the Iranian art of applying designs to fabric; carried out both manually and using special printing stamps.
