Manuel Khristoforovich Aladzhalov, Russian, 1862 to 1934, a 1928 oil on board painting depicting an Impressionist landscape with birches. Signed and dated lower left; signed, dated and titled on verso. Framed. Signed in Cyrillic and dated lower left. Manuel Aladzhalov is known for realist and impressionist style marine and landscape paintings. Born in Nakhichevan-on-the-Don into a family of Armenian merchants, he spent most of his life in Moscow.
