Lena Cronqvist, Swedish, born 1938, a hand painted bronze sculpture, Girl in a Dish, 2000. Signed with casting, stamped Artist Proof 1/1, on the backside of the sculpture, and stamped with Empire Foundry Mark, on the dish. Lena Birgitta Cronqvist Tunstrom is a Swedish painter, graphic artist and sculptor. Considered to be one of Scandinavias most prominent Expressionists, her biographical inspired works include self portraits, some with her child, sometimes depicting the unpleasant features of life. She has illustrated the books of her late husband Goran Tunstrom and created lithographs for one of August Strindbergs plays. As a sculptor, she has worked with glass and bronze.
