A mid-20th century English sterling silver cigarette case with hinged lid. Square shape. The front is covered with polychrome enamel depicting a female portrait. The back lid has guilloche surface. The interior is gilt and features an engraved dedication: To Miss C.M. Roberts with the best wishes of the friends at Area 7, May 1948. Sheffield assay mark, lion passant guardant, letter D for the year 1946, Made in England, W and H makers mark are on the inside. Total Weight: 132 grams.
