A Russian 88 gilt silver and hand carved jade Easter egg pendant. The egg is hand carved from a dark green jade gem stone and adorned with a gilt silver figural top modeled as a head of an elephant engraved with detailed patterns. The eyes are set with cabochon cut gem stones, possibly tourmalines. Hallmarked with an 88 Russian silver standard and bears the makers mark on the fitting ring.
