An antique African hand carved wooden ritual mask of the Bambara, Ntomo people, Mali. Adorned with five horns decorated with shells. The Ntomo Society, which includes teenage boys, is responsible for their initiation. Circa early mid 20th century. The mask has an elongated face with a small round mouth, a long and protruding nose, and round slits of eyes. Decorated with red stones, strings, and tab like ears.
