Rare color mezzotint engraving by Samuel Arlent Edwards, 1862 to 1938, an English-born American artist and printmaker. After the ca. 1500 painting titled Mary Magdalene by Pietro Perugino, 1452 to 1523, an Italian Renaissance painter of the Umbrian school, teacher of Raphael. The artwork depicts a portrait of a young woman. This engraving is one of 150 copies. Undated. Signed by the engraver in the lower right. Golden frame. M.
