A Russian golden metal Orthodox cross pendant on an anchor link chain. The pendant depicts a relief Crucifix on the obverse. Inscription in Church Slavonic on the reverse, To the Presbyter Who Gives the Image of Faithful Word and Deed, 1000 years of the baptism of Rus. The first phrase usually decorates award crosses given to distinguished priests since the era of Paul I. The Millenium of the baptism of Rus was celebrated by the Orthodox Church in 1988.
