An ancient Chinese manner bronze vessel, Fangyi, converted into a table lamp with modern electrical fittings. The Fangyi is a traditional ritual bronze container of Bronze Age China, ca. 1000 BC. The piece is decorated with relief zoomorphic ornaments and has sculpted edges. The piece is mounted on a footed hand carved wooden stand. The lamp has two light sockets.
