Lot 0235: 1852 GERMAN PORCELAIN GILT PAINTED CUP AND SAUCER

An antique 19th century porcelain cup and saucer made by Schmeisser Porcelain Company in Germany. Circa 19th century. The cup is garnished with a hand painted medallion representing an interior scene, decorated with ornamental and floral designs, and richly gilded. The saucer is decorated with a gilt ornamental pattern and inscribed Anna 1852 in the center. Both items have an underglaze blue SPM hallmark on the bottom. SPM Schmeisser Porzellan Manufaktur factory was in operation 1865 to 1910. Antique European Collectible Porcelain Tableware, Tea Service.
