Lot 0047: VINTAGE METAL CARLING AND CANVAS WATERHOUSE PRINTS

41 reviews

A lot of two vintage prints. The first print on a metal plate covered with a board at the back and stamped. The front side featuring the brewery name Carlings below the picture. The advertisement uses an illustration titled Nine Pints of the Law, after English artist Lawson Wood. The second print is a reproduction on canvas after John William Waterhouse, 1849 to 1917, titled Destiny, and has a label on the backside. The original painting was painted in 1900 in support of British troops during the Boer War. Over the sign, Waterhouse wrote Artists War Fund. Antique Posters, Prints And Multiples For Wall Decor.
