A Second World War model Nazi German Red Cross officers dagger featuring a two edged flat blade, smoothly tapering to a point. Orange plastic handle, oval in shape, in transverse grooves. The oval nickel plated pommel is conical and rounded. On the cast crosspiece, there is an oval medallion with the image of an eagle with a swastika in chest holding a cross in its claws. Complete with a metal scabbard and hanging fasteners. The dagger of the command staff of the Red Cross Medical Service, 1938. This dagger was worn by all Red Cross officials with the rank of non commissioned officer and officers of all ranks in the period 1938 to 1945.
