An antique Persian Kalamkari cotton textile. The textile is adorned with an ornamental medallion in the center, and traditional polychrome floral, foliage, and paisley patterns. The backside is decorated with a floral motif. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. Kalamkari or chitsazi is the Iranian art of applying designs to fabric; carried out both manually and using special printing stamps.
