An ancient Byzantine cast bronze reliquary cross. The cross features a two part hinge construction. Each side of the artifact is adorned with engraved religious motifs depicting a crucified Jesus Christ with Virgin Mary, arms outstretched upon the cross. This cross was used by pilgrims to hold pieces of the True Cross, making it a significant relic of spiritual devotion and historical importance.
