Mounted on a rectangular silver and green nephrite jade base. Hallmarked on the base with 88 silver standard next to a female head in a kokoshnik turned to the left and other Russian hallmarks. Champleve is an enameling technique that consists of cutting away troughs or cells in a metal plate and filling the depressions with pulverized vitreous enamel.
