A large Russian 88 gilt silver and enamel Easter egg locket pendant. The pendant is made of two fastened halves with an empty space for storing memorabilia. The exterior of the egg is covered with orange Guilloche enamel, adorned with lattice pattern set with cabochon cut gem stones on the crosslines. Bears two drop shaped medallions depicting an Imperial double headed eagle on a red enamel ground on one side, and the Kremlin view on a cobalt blue enamel ground on the other side. Gold washed interior. Marked with an 88 Russian Imperial silver standard and the makers mark on the fitting ring. Comes with a sterling silver chain marked, 925, Italy.
