A WWII Nazi German miniature stainless steel dagger with a matching scabbard. The dagger has a hardwood grip made in an eagle design. The blade is decorated with an acid etched inscription Arbeit adelt, Work makes noble. The scabbard bears a swastika with a wheat emblem, the symbol of the womens branch of RAD. Marked, WKC Solingen, on a ricasso. RAD, short for Reichsarbeitsdienst or Reich Labour Service, was a major organization established in Nazi Germany as an agency to deal with unemployment and indoctrinate the workforce with Nazi ideology. Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Has some stains and scuffs. Has discoloration and dents. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
