Oil on canvas painting attributed to Mahadev Vishwanath Dhurandhar, 1867 to 1944, an Indian painter and postcard artist of the British colonial era. The piece illustrates a scene from Ramayana, Rama winning a bow-stringing contest In the kingdom of Mithila. Signed in the lower left. Untitled, undated. The Ramayana is a Sanskrit epic from ancient India, one of the two important epics of Hinduism. Collectible Mid Century Fine Art, Southeast Asian Artists.
