A set of earthenware saucers by Fornasetti. A total of 7 items. Five plates of various design from the Musicalia collection, ca. 1950. Two identical plates depicting Roman chariots made exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue, ca. 1960. White pieces with gold-tone transfer-printed decor. The Musicalia saucers represent musical instruments in ribbons. Fornasetti Milano hallmark is on the backside of each piece. Piero Fornasetti, 1913 to 1988, was an Italian artist and designer known for his Surrealist decor pieces featuring Lina Cavalieri.
