A Near Eastern, Mesopotamia, probably Syria, late Tell Halaf period terracotta pottery fertility idol figure. Circa: 6500 to 4500 BCE. The fertility idol mother shown in a seated pose. Like most representations of the female body at this time she is shown with exageratedly small head, large breasts and wide hips. She is painted with dark brown stripes on a body and a face. Ancient Near Eastern Pottery Idols, Figurines, Statues, Amulets, Museum Pieces, and Historical Artifacts.
