Its a unique religious object printed or written in Hebrew on parchment, with the text arranged in columns. This scroll has an image and a red stamp inside from the Yeshivath Torath Hayim, New York. The scroll is kept rolled up and is unrolled during the reading. The box has a label with instructions for the postmaster to return the package if it’s not delivered, indicating it was sent through the mail. There are two 1 cent stamps on the box, suggesting it was sent in the early 20th century in the United States. The Megillah is a central part of the Purim celebration, commemorating the story of Esthers bravery and the Jewish peoples miraculous salvation from the evil plot of Haman.
