An antique Russian Orthodox icon of Mother of God with Jesus Child. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. Gilt background. The icon depicts the Mother of God with a hand bending toward her head and with the Child holding a scroll in both hands directly sitting on her hand. Titled in Church Slavonic in the upper part. Circa: the second half of the 19th century. Collectible Russian Orthodox Art, Christian Religious Items.
