An antique Japanese early Meiji Era enamel over copper brush pot with a fluted base. The cylindrical form pot is enameled with polychrome enamel designs representing Phoenix birds in clouds made in the Cloisonne technique. The base and the neck of the ware are adorned with geometrical, floral, foliate scroll, and traditional Greek patterns made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: 1868 to 1877.
