An antique Japanese early Meiji Era enamel over copper brush pot. The cylindrical form pot is enameled with polychrome enamel medallions representing blossoming flowers and plants surrounded by butterfly wings and floral patterns made in the Cloisonne technique. The base and the neck of the ware are adorned with geometrical and wavy patterns made in the same technique. A fluted base. Unmarked. Circa: 1868 to 1877.
