A lot of two antique 19th century French round hand painted porcelain wall plaques. The first plaque is adorned with a scene after the original 19th century engraving titled Homer, The Blind Greek Poet, Is Guided By His Son. The second plaque is decorated with after an original painting titled Belisaire, 1795, by Francois Gerard, French, 1770 to 1837. Belisaire is a banned 1767 French novel on the life of the Byzantine general Belisarius by Jean Francois Marmontel. The artwork depicts the main character carrying a boy in his arms.
