An antique European box, presumably a compact case, of an oval form, the body is silver plated copper, the hinged lid is adorned with cobalt blue enamel over a guilloche ground garnished with relief floral arrangement in the center surrounded by a decorative border with a geometric pattern. The box has a mirror on the inside and a fitting ring for hanging on the top. Unmarked. Presumably German, the first half of the 19th century.
