A rare and fine quality antique Austrian jar featuring a cylindrical glass body in a silver case modeled as intricate filigree foliage covered with translucent plique a jour enamel, with geometrical borders to the top and bottom, also features a hinged silver lid adorned with filigree and polychrome cloisonne and guilloche enamel floral patterns and Vitruvian curls. Made by Georg Adam Scheid, Vienna, circa 1866. Hallmarked GAS on the base. Antique Porcelain and Glassware Collectibles. Total weight 115 grams.
