Kukryniksy, Russian, Soviet era, active 1924 to 1980s, Indian ink and pencil painting on paper, Neutral Life, 1939, for newspaper Pravda. Signed and dated lower left. Titled in pencil upper to the center. Inscribed on verso. Kukryniksy is a creative team of Soviet graphic artists and painters, a combination of the names of three caricaturists, Mikhail Kupriyanov, Porfiri Krylov and Nikolai Sokolov, who had met at Vkhutemas. Three artists worked using the method of collective creativity. They became most famous for their numerous skillfully executed caricatures and cartoons, as well as book illustrations created in a characteristic caricature style. Pre WWII era Russian Soviet Military and Political Carucature Paintings, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.

Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. Refer to photos. Sold As Is.
