Below is the artist’s dedicatory inscription in Russian: to Evgenia Pavlovna Kozmina For Good Memory. Signed and dated, 1952. The second painting depicts an autumn city landscape in Lviv. Dated 1947. On the back side, there is a label of the Union of Artists of the USSR with the title of the work Old Lviv, the name of the artist, and the date, 1947. Both works are housed in gilded wooden frames. Vladimir Valeryanovich Bogatkin, 1922 to 1971, was a Russian painter, book illustrator, and theater artist from Moscow. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1945.
