A Russian abstract oil painting on canvas after Wassily Kandinsky, 1923. The painting titled Black and Violet depicts a bright complex abstract composition with sailing boats on an orange background. Signed lower left. Framed. Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky, 1866 to 1944, is a Russian artist and theorist of fine arts who stood at the origins of abstract art. One of the founders of the Blue Rider group. The artists works are in the largest museums and galleries in Russia and around the world. One of a kind artwork.
