Mixed media drawing by Alexandre Benois, 1870 to 1960, a Russian artist and art critic, member of the Mir Iskusstva movement. Watercolor, gouache, ink and pencil on paper. The artwork is a costume design for Silvano in Un Ballo in Maschera, A Masked Ball, an opera by Giuseppe Verdi. Signed by the artist and dated 1947 in the lower left.
