A pair of antique Japanese Satsuma pottery vases. Late Meiji era, before 1912. Baluster shape with pronounced neck rim. Hand-painted floral motif against the turquoise blue background. Gilt details. Makers mark on the bottom. Satsuma ware is a type of Japanese pottery which originated in Satsuma Province, since the 19th century it was mainly produced for Western export and therefore elaborately decorated.
