Hand-painted in egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on a wood panel with raised kovcheg borders. The left wing of the icon depicts the month January, with feasts such as the Baptism of Christ at 6 January. The left part of the middle depicts the month February, with feasts such as the Presentation of Christ to the Temple, at 2 February.
