An ancient Roman silver figure represents the head of the god Janus. Featuring a double faced man, presumably a bead or a pendant, holed. Janus is a god with two faces in ancient Roman mythology. He was originally a demiurge god. Then he gave way to Jupiter as the supreme deity. He was revered as the deity of all beginnings, doors, entrances, and exits and therefore received the attributes of a watchman, keys, and a staff in order to ward off uninvited guests.
