An antique Heintz bronze candle рolder with sterling silver overlay. Featuring an intricate foliate silver pattern on bronze surface. Circa the early 20th century. Marked to the bottom with makers marks. The Heintz family history dates back to 1875, when they became an established jewelry manufacturer in New York. Building on this foundation, Otto Heintz purchased a small company in 1902, renamed it the Heintz Art Metal Shop, and began working with copper. Soon after, he transitioned from copper work to producing bronze pieces with sterling silver overlays, using no solder in the process.
