An ancient Roman lead votive figurine of a goddess Atargatis Heliopolitanus from the cult of the Heliopolitan Triad. Circa 1st to 4th century AD. The goddess is depicted with the figures of two bulls on the right and left. This was originally a Canaanite cult that the Romans adopted when they conquered the city of Heliopolis. In Rome, Atargatis Heliopolitanus transformed into the goddess of love, Venus. Ancient Roman Figurines, Figures, Statues, Museum Pieces, and Historical Artifacts.
