An ancient Near Eastern Mesopotamian Tell Brak hand carved stone Eye idol. One of the most famous artifact types from early Mesopotamia. Circa 3000 B.C. Rectangular in shape with two drilled round holes at the top, resembling large eyes. It is believed that the idols were used to serve the all seeing god who protected the inhabitants of ancient Syria. Ancient Near Eastern Syrian Idols, Figures, Figurines, Statues, and Collectibles.
