Springfield, 17 Jewels, The Autocrat, 3176847 is on the clock mechanism. Hallmark Wadsworth Warranted 25 Years is on the inside of the case. Hand-engraved inscriptions by the case hallmark. The Illinois Watch Co. manufactured watches in Springfield, Illinois from approximately 1869 to 1948. Marquis Autocrat was a grade of pocket watch movements.
