An extremely rare and highly collectible antique charge plate almost certainly made by an Austrian Silversmith commissioned by the Ottoman Empire. The charger is gold plated silver adorned all over the surface with intricate champleve enamel patterns, the cavetto is centered with a view of the Great Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Menkazeh, Mycerinus, surrounded by raised crescents covered with white enamel with black enamel scrolled foliage motifs. Bears Ottoman and Austrian hallmarks on the bottom. Circa 1900. Oriental Art, Austrian Silver Ware Pieces, Decorative Antiques And Collectibles. Total Weight 2000 g.
