A pair of vintage Dutch wooden milking stools with metal coil springs by Frisian. Stools were designed to be strapped onto a persons body while milking cows. The metal coil springs attached to the stools served as a shock absorbing mechanism. This design helped stabilize the person milking, allowing them to balance better on uneven barn floors or as cows shifted their weight.
