A paper label, inscribed, Oliver Winchester, Winchester Arms Comp., New Haven, Connecticut, on the backside. Oliver Fisher Winchester, 1810 to 1880, was an American businessman and politician, best known as being the founder of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company.
