Amelio Giorgio Roccamonte, Italian, 1927 to 1980, gilt bronze sculpture depicting a brutalist composition. Signed with a cast signature, Roccamonte, on the sculpture. Mounted on a wood plinth base. Amelio Giorgio Roccamonte was an Italian sculptor, known in Italian artistic circles as the sculptor of robots, and concrete art. He frequented, in Argentina, the studio of the sculptor Maria Cristina Molina Salas, where in 1943 he met Lucio Fontana, subsequently becoming his pupil, through the awarding of a scholarship at the Altamira Academy.
