An antique late 19th-century bronze sculpture after an original artwork by Paul Dubois, 1829 to 1905, a French sculptor. The artwork represents a figure of an Italian young man with a lute. Titled Florentine Singer. Signed P. Dubois and dated 1869, marked Reduction Mecanique A. Collas Brevete on the base. Achille Collas, 1795 to 1859, was a French engineer invented a machine named Reduction Mechanique that copied sculptures at a smaller scale, which popularized small sculptures and transformed the bronze industry.
