Hand signed and dated on the backside. Label Berry Hill with descriptive information on the backside. Bunny Harvey is an American artist known for her semi abstract landscapes. She creates paintings that combine her interests in archaeology, the passing of time, the cosmos, and particle physics, and regards her landscapes as a resting place where these interests collide. Bunny Harvey earned a BFA and MFA at the Rhode Island School of Design. Since 1976, she has been teaching art at Wellesley College. She also does guest lectures and has been a visiting professor at Harvard University in visual and environmental studies. In 1974 she won the Rome Prize in Painting, a two-year fellowship at the American Academy in Rome, and from Rome traveled extensively to archaeology sites in Egypt. In addition to the Rome prize, she has received the Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts, an Individual Artist Grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, and faculty awards from Wellesley College.
