A Russian gilt silver paper knife, or letter opener, in the style of a Roman gladius sword. The blade is decorated with an embossed floral motif, featuring swans to the ricasso. The handle is adorned with purple guilloche enamel. The baluster finial is garnished with a polished aquamarine stone. Hallmarked with the manufacturer and 88 silver proof marks on the blade.
