A pair of rare antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over copper flowerpots. The flowerpots are enameled with polychrome designs representing scenes with herons on a pond with blossoming flowers and ponds made in the Cloisonne technique. The necks and the bases are adorned with foliage ornaments made in the same technique. The bottoms are decorated with a foliate scroll pattern on the turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. Each ware is mounted with three legs featuring an engraved foliage ornament. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
